Printer Offline Issue is a common problem with many printer models; HP Deskjet 3700 Printer is no exception to it. A Printer Offline error occurs when there is a poor or insecure connection between the computer and the printer. This issue can be fixed using simple troubleshooting steps. Follow the steps given below to turn the HP Deskjet 3700 Printer online.

• Restart the HP Deskjet 3700 Printer device. Switch off the printer and plug out the power cord from the printer. Remove the all the cables from the printer and leave it to rest for a while.
• Connect the power cord of the printer to its rear. Reconnect all the cables to the printer. Press and hold the power button for three seconds to switch on the printer. Try printing a document to see if the printer is working.

• If you are using a USB cable connection, remove the cable from the printer. Plug the USB cable back into the printer and push it in until it fits into position. Check if your printer works.
• Make sure that you don’t connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB hub or dock. Your printer will not receive enough power to initiate the printing process if you connect the USB cable to a dock or hub.
• If you are using a LAN or Ethernet cable connection, disconnect the cable from the printer and the router. Check if the wire is secure and authentic. Connect the wire back to the printer and router and push it in until it snaps into position.
• Restart your router device. Switch off the router and remove the power cord from the router. Plug it back after a while and switch on the router. Ensure that the green light in the router is steady and the orange light is blinking actively.
• If you are using a wireless connection, check if the light next to wireless icon is on and steady. If not, switch it on by pressing the small Wireless icon. Make sure that you have connected to the correct network.
• Tap on the Settings icon and navigate to the Wireless Setup Wizard option. Follow the prompted on-screen instructions to set up the Wireless Wizard. Select the name of your wireless network from the list of available networks.
• If you don’t find the name of your wireless network on the list of available networks, tap on the Enter New Network Name option. Type in the details of your network. If prompted, enter the password of your network and tap on the Continue button.
• Ensure that you disconnect all the USB and Ethernet cables from the printer before connecting your HP Deskjet 3700 Printer to the wireless network. You cannot connect your printer to the wireless network with the cables connected to it.
• Connect your computer and your printer to the same wireless network. Make sure that you don’t connect your computer or printer to a guest network such as a school’s network or a hospital’s network.
